KOUFAX Sandy Koufax was one of my childhood heroes, maybe because he was also a lefty. Somehow, to me, the early sixties seemed to be in black and white, and so I thought that keeping that color scheme and having the figure almost emerging from and blending into the white background would add to the heroic feeling.
