US MAP In order to enhance the feeling of radiating lines in this piece, I mixed gesso, pumice powder, and a little modeling paste and used a broad house brush to create grooves in my underpainting surface. The pumice powder acts as a wonderful grit to trap the pastel particles so that you can work a lot longer on a specific area. Back
