ZINTARA
Right after finishing a painting in primary tones with lots of motion I decided to see if I could still capture high drama in these muted tones. This painting became the opening piece for "Zintara", the illustrated novel. Here is the first paragragh.
"From her vantage point high above the encampment, Zintara saw the last of the knights ride out of sight for the final sortie of the day. She spread her great wings and glided effortlessly down to the level of the tents, startling the lone remaining guard with a foot of steel through his throat. The man's dead weight slid to the ground in silence, disgorging the fouled blade as it fell. Zintara turned from her deadly handiwork and strode into the prince's tent."
